I have noticed this myself while trying to download a document from someones website. "Are you sure you want to download this????"
Duh! well I need the document and I know these people are legit so YES! There's usually a place to click saying "I understand the risk and proceed" or something to that affect.
There could be two things going on here; One- your computers security setting is very high and the website your on might be too young to have a track record. and two- you're being phished to scare you into downloading an anti virus software that you really don't need.
Well if you still aren't sure if the site is safe. there's a great website that provides links to other sites that all they do is verify the "safeness" of other sites. https://www.techsupportalert.com/content/how-tell-if-website-dangerous.htm#Check_Site_With_Zulu_URL_Risk_Analyzer_And_Comodo_Web_Inspector
No kidding there are lots of sites out there that verify the security and provide assurance that the site you're trying to access and the document you want to download is completely safe. Follow the easy instructions and VOILA! You can proceed knowing that your safe.
Artisan Trails in Washington County is growing. As the Press Releases begin to show up in the print publications and in the online calendars concerning the start-up of this event we are hoping that additional artisans will be joining in. The first registrations promise to show the public a wide range of talent, and we're grateful for that, however, there's always room for more.
This is where the participation of those artisans who have already sent in their registration form needs to kick in. If most of you are like myself and Kris Gregson Moss, we employ the services of Facebook, Instagram and our own websites to spread the word about what we're up to. and that’s a good place to start. Already we have been hitting those sources to promote our participation in the event to our followers. Of course, we understand that July is a long way off and those non-artisans who follow us will need to be reminded through an event post, a calendar reminder and such. I bet the following statement is the same for Kris, many of our followers are also artists/artisans and some to live in Washington County. True? don’t forget to invite your fellow Washington County artisans to join in.
It’s free to join and the success of each individual artisans site will be directly affected by the amount of publicity that artisan does to promote their own participation.
We’re off to a good start! Let's build on the momentum and keep growing!
This is traditionally the time of year when artisans are inundated with so many Spring chores and upcoming family obligations. Mothers Day, Graduations, Fathers Day, Weddings, the garden needs tending....the list goes on and on. It's so easy to let opportunities to let your creative self shine through to be buried in the avalanche.
Today- before you forget, go to your calendar and mark June 1, 2018 as the last day to register to participate in the Artisan Trails in Washington County. We would hate to have you miss this event because your calendar only had "wash the dog" listed for June 1st.
We all know what it's like to have deadlines. They either drive us absolutely NUTS or they Drive us to work harder and produce more. Well, whatever deadlines do to your work standard, they do exist. Without them every part of our lives would be chaos.
Getting to appointments on time is a deadline, being to work on time- Deadline. Creating a website in enough time to be able to garner interest in a planned event is another deadline. Hopefully it's been created without a HUGE amount of errors that need to be corrected and with as concise information as humanly possible to dispense. Sure, there will always be a few readers who need to have information explained, after all we all process information differently. Not a problem, I can rework explanations until the point is understood.
There is of course a Deadline for registration to participate in "Artisan Trials in Washington County" and that date is June 1, 2018. There are maps to be created, the website page to be created with names, wares, date/times and their website information. YIKES! Yet another DEADLINE.
